This module is the third in our CPPE series looking at the role of the pharmacy team in supporting people with a learning disability. It will consider the importance of an annual health check and how to best support people who have a learning disability with the most common concurrent physical health conditions.

Objectives

After reading this module, you will:

  • Understand how you can support people with both a learning disability and concurrent physical health conditions
  • Be aware of the lifestyle advice that you can pass onto these customers and their carers.

This series is based on the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) distance learning programme and learning campaign on Learning disabilities and is designed to give pharmacy technicians an overview and better understanding of this area of practice.
