Dates for your diary: November-December

The festive period may be getting underway but that doesn’t mean health campaigns take a back seat. From raising awareness of HIV and AIDS to supporting people with disabilities, there are plenty of opportunities for pharmacies to get involved with in the coming weeks

Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month: From 1 November

Theme?

Turn It Purple

What?

Pancreatic Cancer Action turns the UK purple every November as part of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness of the fifth deadliest cancer in the UK. Pancreatic Cancer Action hopes that ‘Turning It Purple’ will help generate discussion and awareness of pancreatic cancer. This can directly impact awareness of symptoms and boost GP visits to help ensure an earlier diagnosis, which can be critical for successful treatment.
