The process for employers to register with Health Education England to be part of the National Pre-registration Pharmacist Recruitment Scheme for 2018 (2019-20 intake) is now open.

It is mandatory for all NHS employers who train pre-registration pharmacists within England and Wales to recruit via the national necruitment scheme, which community pharmacy employers are also invited to join.

The deadline to register and submit employer information is March 16, 2018.

The ORIEL system is used as a template, where applicants are able to apply, book interview slots and be sent offers/relevant communications via one system.

Detail about how the scheme works are in the employer guidance handbook. It contains a guide to completing an employer programme submission, a recruitment timeline, regional contact support details and FAQs.

Information for pharmacy students about the recruitment process for 2018 (2019-20 intake) will be available in March/April 2018. A new applicant handbook is available and all schools of pharmacy will receive updated information in late March to support applicants.
