As you will no doubt be aware, there are cuts coming to the budget which will affect community pharmacy. As an Executive, we are worried that the cuts will adversely affect the public, as pharmacists are currently the most accessible health professional. Further, we believe that this will affect our future careers, and the first to feel the squeeze will be students, pre-reg's and newly qualified pharmacists. Therefore, we are actively campaigning for the government to reassess the cuts, before they are imposed to the detriment of patients and our careers.

One way in which you can help is to send an email to your local MP. This will take a few minutes, we have drafted up an email that you can copy and paste, and fill in the blanks for your details.

In the summer of 2015, I went on a holiday to India for 6 weeks to visit my family and friends. Little did I know I was going to be involved in a public health awareness campaign which was an amazing life experience. As a part of the 61st International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF) World Congress, I visited a small secondary school in Hyderabad, India to conduct my first ever Public Awareness Campaign.
