Other Events

Being a member of the BPSA gives you access to numerous events run by ourselves and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society that take place throughout the year and contribute to your learning and development.   Why not come along to the BPSA’s Big Weekend for a weekend of team building activities and fun, or attend a Local Practice Forum meeting for an interesting speech and a Professional Development Point?  Go out there and get involved!

Big Weekend

Big weekend is held each Summer and is a weekend of team building activities organised by the BPSA.  Previous years have seen activities such as raft building and archery, and it’s a great opportunity to let your hair down after a hard year at university and meet fellow pharmacy students.  Keep an eye on the website and our social networking sites for more information!

Local Practice Forums

Local Practice Forums (LPFs) are organised by the local branches of the RPS for their members – which includes BPSA members!  Meetings typically involve a speech from a specialist on a chosen topic, with an opportunity to ask questions at the end. These events are a great chance to meet other students in your area, pre-registration trainees and fully qualified pharmacists from all sectors. Don’t forget, attendance at these events is worth a Professional Development Point, so it’s worth signing up to your LPF for updates.

RPS Events

Members of the BPSA are also members of the RPS, which means you can attend prestigious events such as the RPS Conference for a reduced price compared to other delegates.  The conference is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with your future profession, listen to influential speakers and meet important people from the world of pharmacy.  For more information, check out the RPS website and look out for updates from the BPSA.
