Your Development

Why do I need to develop myself?

As a pharmacist you will be required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD). CPD is a process which involves reflecting on an activity which you have undertaken. In this way it is hoped that you will learn and improve your practice as a pharmacist. Reflecting on your own work and experiences is not always as easy as it may sound. For this reason the BPSA offers pharmacy students the opportunity to start learning about professional development whilst progressing through the MPharm degree and pre-registration year.

How can the BPSA help me to do this?

The BPSA is here to support you every step of the way. This includes providing tools to help you develop yourself as a pharmacy student. We hope that this support will allow you to make the most of any events that you attend, competitions you enter and resources you use. Our Professional Development Scheme is the perfect way to reflect upon your experiences and progress professionally from first year through to pre-reg year.
