Graduate Services
As well as supporting you through your undergraduate years, the BPSA also offer our members graduate services designed to help you through your preregistration year. With the support of the Pharmacists' Defence Association, we organise 2 preregistration conferences and produce three issues of the 'Gradlink' our magazine specifically designed to help you through your prereg year.

Preregistration Conference

PDA Logo The BPSA and the Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) work closely together to hold two Preregistration Conferences each academic year. Unlike other BPSA conferences, these conferences are aimed exclusively to preregistration trainees. The next preregistration conference will be held in Birmingham on Sunday 10th October 2010, and will inculde tips on how to succeed in the preregistration training year.

For more information about the conference, and to register for the event, please visit www.conferenceevent.com

Graduate Link

The BPSA works very closely with both the Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) to produce its Graduate publication, Graduate Link.

The Graduate Link aims to provide useful information on a range of subjects. The Graduate Link is put together by the Graduate Officer of the BPSA, so hopefully this means it will have some very useful articles. Recent editions have looked to give advice on interview techniques, how to prepare for life as a pharmacist and how to prepare for the registration exam in June. The PDA also use the Graduate Link as a signposting tool to advertise their free insurance and the “Aiming High” preregistration conference. The RPSGB also have a section used to ensure preregistration students are aware of the up-to-date news stories in the pharmacy profession, such as the white paper and Pharmacy 2020. Future editions will be made available on this space to download and refer back to.

There are three editions published through your preregistration year, one early in the year, one at the end of winter and one shortly before completing your year. The magazine is sent straight to you at your place of work.

All feedback, positive or negative, on the Graduate Link is welcomed.
