World Diabetes Day Organised by Roohil Yusuf |

Diabetes affects a significant proportion on the population (in fact 25 million people worldwide) so it didn’t seem like enough to set up an event in just one city. So, with the help of some very enthusiastic BPSA representatives, we decided to take on the whole country!
We managed to successfully set up a total of seven stands across the nation - two in London and one in Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester, Bradford and Cardiff. We agreed that the main goal of this campaign was to raise awareness, so we decided that the most effective way to do this would be to place ourselves amongst the general public and provide them with information. The Reps were all provided with information on Diabetes to read to enable them to speak with confidence about the condition. Money was also collected and to be donated to Diabetes UK.
