Annual Conference

The BPSA Annual Conference is the flagship event of the Association and it is hosted at a different School of Pharmacy each year as voted by the delegates. We are excited to announce that this year’s 78th Annual Conference will take place at Aston University in Birmingham.

Annual Conference explores matters most relevant to pharmacy. It provides insight into key areas through workshops, panel discussions, keynote speakers and debates. The BPSA Annual Conference aims to inform your learning, challenge you whilst providing you with the opportunity to debate relevant pharmacy issues.

Conference business which happens during the day is where motions raised by students are debated on by the delegation. Passed motions become BPSA policy, and these define the beliefs of the Association for three years. Should any of these motions arise in the news or pharmacy world, we as an association have a standing on it as voted by our members.

At Annual Conference, we work hard and play hard. There will be different jam-packed activities during the evening for the whole week. So, get ready to mingle and socialise with delegates from not only your university but also different universities.

MedEx day is our very own exhibition, organised for students and pre-registration trainees, which happens during the week at Annual Conference where we welcome an array of sponsors  and pharmaceutical companies.  MedEx gives you the opportunity to meet and chat with potential future employers, gain insight into the working world of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry  and make connections.

And of course, conference won’t be complete without the BPSA Ball which happens on Saturday night as a glamorous ending to the week. Delegates get to dress up, enjoy an exquisite three-course meal and take loads of red carpet pictures.

Keep an eye out for more upcomming information.
