Do you want to:
Well the Responding to Symptoms Competition is the perfect opportunity to do so!
Take part in your School’s round, prove your abilities as an effective communicator and learn more about community pharmacy.
This round is held from November 2018 within each School of Pharmacy around the country. On the day you will be provided with a scenario and allocated 10 minutes to research and prepare using various reference sources provided. You will then have 10 minutes to respond to a patient’s symptoms and to provide them with appropriate advice, including an appropriate product recommendation where applicable. There will also be an opportunity for you to receive feedback afterwards.
The winner will progress into the national semi-final. The session will be coordinated by your school BPSA Rep(s), who will provide you with a date, time, and venue for the first round. Stay tuned for the date of the first round within your school…

The winner of round one from each School of Pharmacy will be invited to attend the national semi-final, which will be held at one of the BPSA Spring Conferences. The semi-final will follow the same format as round one. In the absence of the winner from round one being able to attend, the runner-up from round one will be invited to attend in their place. At the end of this round, there will be five runners-up and five winners. The winners from this round will then progress to the final round.
Round three will be held during BPSA Day of our 77th Annual Conference 2018, held at Nottingham University. The final will follow the same format as before, but here, four runners-up will receive a prize. The winner of the final will win a grand prize. There will also be an opportunity for all participants to experience Annual Conference, as well as an opportunity to network with potential employers at our MedEx (Medical exhibition).
