The BPSA is pleased to be able to offer up to £100 in funding towards the EPSA Annual Reception which takes place in European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium each year. The general topic is Pharmaceuticals in the Environment, Communicational Skills & the role of healthcare professionals and civil society when it comes to appropriate use and disposal of pharmaceuticals.
Registration for this event is FREE. You will be responsible to fund and arrange your own travel and accommodation for the event. Recipients of the EPSA AR BPSA Travel Fund can claim up to £100 towards travel or accommodation with proof of payment. Travel and accommodation claims must be strictly used towards attending the event.
The event will also have a side programme happening over the weekend prior to the event – Saturday, 29th of February until Wednesday, 4th of March. The side programme will be finalised in the next months. Please consider if you would like to attend the free side programme when booking travel.
Funding is to be used to assist MPharm students and Pre-Registration Pharmacists who would be unable to attend this event without funding support. Before applying for the BPSA Travel Fund, we would encourage you to seek funding support from both your school of pharmacy as well as your Students Union to ensure that this funding goes to students who are unable to attend without our support.
Please note that the BPSA Travel Fund can only be granted to an individual once per academic year.
If you are successful in receiving the BPSA Travel Fund, a letter of confirmation will be sent directly to you as well as a copy to your Head of School or Personal Tutor.
Please complete the following form as thoughtfully as possible and provide us with enough detail and information to support your application so that we are able to approve as many applications as possible.
Successful applicants are required to attend the full Annual Reception day, or the bursary will be retracted.
Successful applicants of the BPSA Travel Fund are expected to represent and uphold the representation of the BPSA when attending events. We also ask that all successful applicants provide the BPSA with an article about their time at the event which will highlight what you have learnt and also what you have gained from the event.
Applications need to be received before Monday 20th January 2020 at 5pm. Any late entries will not be accepted. You will be informed if you have been successful by the 28th January 2020 so that you can complete registration.
If you are successful in receiving the funds, we will transfer you the money on receipt of purchase for travel/accommodation and proof of registration. Anyone who fails to attend the event for any reason will be liable to return the grant, and therefore we recommend that you have adequate travel insurance in place to cover cancellations.
