Western Area Coordinator - Malcolm Edong

The Western Area Coordinator is responsible for organising area events and coordinating the BPSA Representatives across the Western Area.

Hello everyone!!! I’m Malcolm, and I’m a third-year student at the University of Birmingham. I’m so excited and proud to be your Western Area Coordinator for the 26/27 mandate.

Ever since I discovered the BPSA through one of my friends attending and telling me about the 83rd Annual Conference, I was raring and ready to become a part of such an esteemed organisation. I could not believe some of the experiences and opportunities slipping through pharmacy students’ hands and became determined to put BPSA on the map!!

My aim for this mandate is to not only make sure all the opportunities of the BPSA are known by all, but to empower and be a voice for the underrepresented in pharmacy, whether it be individuals who come from minority ethnic backgrounds, neurodivergent individuals, people who are experiencing mental health challenges, or those who experience barriers in pharmacy.

I’m so excited to meet all of you and for you to experience what our wonderful exec team has planned!!
